OstroVit ADEK – a source of fat-soluble vitamins

Vitamin A is a carotene derivative belonging to the group of carotenoids. It is a component classified as fat-soluble vitamins, which is accumulated in the human body in the liver and adipose tissue. Naturally found in food, the ingredient can be found in products such as offal, milk and dairy products, vegetables (e.g. carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkin) and fruit (e.g. peaches).

Vitamin D is a steroid, organic chemical compound, classified as fat-soluble vitamins, which bioavailability, like other compounds in this group, is closely related to the presence of fats in the daily diet. Vitamin D can be supplied to the body with food – It occurs mainly in fatty sea fish, as well as in the form of dietary supplements. On sunny days, skin synthesis of the compound is also possible.

Vitamin E is a group of organic chemical compounds, classified as fat-soluble vitamins. It is a compound, which in the human body is stored primarily in adipose tissue, as well as in the adrenal glands. Dietary sources of vitamin E include vegetable oils, i.a. olive oil and sunflower oil, as well as nuts and germs of cereal seeds.

Vitamin K is a group of fat-soluble chemical compounds. OstroVit dietary supplement uses menaquinone, i.e. vitamin K2, which is produced by intestinal bacteria and can also be delivered to the body along with the daily diet – The compound is found in products such as spinach, lettuce, cauliflower or cereal products and is also available in the form of supplements.

Properties of ingredients contained in OstroVit ADEK:

Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal iron metabolism and also helps to maintain the proper condition of mucous membranes and healthy skin. The compound helps to maintain proper vision and also supports the optimal functioning of the immune system.

Vitamin D helps to maintain healthy bones, teeth and muscles, as well as participates in the process of cell division and supports the proper functioning of the immune system. In addition, the compound helps in the proper absorption/use of calcium and phosphorus, as well as in maintaining optimal calcium levels in the blood.

Vitamin E helps protect cells from oxidative stress.

Vitamin K, in turn, contributes to normal blood clotting and helps maintain healthy bones.

ATTENTION! The product should not be consumed by people taking anticoagulants containing vitamin K antagonists (e.g. warfarin and acenocoumarol).
